Good/Up-Scale Japanese on Eastside

I checked the memories and could not really find the particulars that I am looking for so any suggestions would be great.

It's my husband's 30th birthday and I'd like to take him out to a nice Japanese dinner last year we went to Maneki and it was really good and I had wanted to go this year but with the wind/weather warnings I am thinking maybe I can find something on the eastside.

Any suggestions in the Redmond/Kirkland/Bellevue maybe even Woodenville area? I'm looking for a place on the authentic side I'd like to get a side room where you take off your shoes and sit down.

Thanks in advance.
