We're not worthy!

Dear Co-Worker from the Midwest or East Coast:

We're so impressed that in Iowa, Boston, North Dakota or wherever you're from that they're so adept at driving on ice back there. That's amazing that "back home", your supernatural kids go to school in ten feet of snow. You're right, we Seattlites are just "idiots" and "babies" because we can't defy the laws of physics in order to drive on black ice. Where would we be without your gritty New York wisdom brightening our day? Of course, part of the reason you moved here is that we don't tend to get this type of weather, but we won't mention that fact.

Oh, and our pizza here sucks too in comparison to back East. How we hang our inferior heads at that knowledge.

You can go "home" now.

Much love,
Me

OMG WE'RE GONNNA DIE!!!

scarf-hat thing

ACG... but this is not really a question that is easy to search for.

Does anyone know where to buy one of those "magic scarves", the tube-shaped things that can be worn in various ways? Looking for an actual store, preferably downtown, not an online source. Thanks.

a question and a tip

there's a new tea house on 15th ave e called remedy teas and it's awesome. 150 kinds of organic tea, tasty food and vegan options, alcohol, breakfast/brunch food... i'm enthralled. more details/pictures

next comes the question: i saw a mention earlier of epicenter fitness having dvd players on its cardio machines. does any other not-in-downtown-proper gym offer this? i have yet to figure out how to encode video for my phone so it isn't choppy (although if anyone reading this has a tmobile mda/htc wizard and a mac and knows how to rock that, you'd be my hero).
