Fremont Zombie #2

Help! Need a cheap Halloween venue in Seattle!

A band "The Dead Vampires" and I love Halloween and want to do something special this year- collaborate with the other folks who love all things macabre. But..........I can’t find a venue (preferably all-ages) for a Halloween Party- Cadaver Cadabra

Date 1: Oct. 29th / Date 2: Oct. 30th Doors Time: 8:30pm / End Time: 12:00-2:00pm / Space: ???

Description: This is an after-party event to follow "Zombie Walk 2006"
For info on Zombie walk:

So here's what I’d like to see happen-
Have 4 awesome rock bands
A dance troupe?
Screen Seattle indie Film "Snow Day Bloody Snow Day"?
Invite Pure Circus?
Invite Rain City Hearse for a Car Show?

Here is the lineup.

Buffalo Exchange

Does anyone know how much Buffalo Exchange gives for your clothes?

I have a bunch of brand-name shirts in good-condition that I never wear and a pair of designer capris.

Also, are there any other thrift stores that buy your stuff for a good price?

I've been watching craigslist, but to no avail.

I'm looking for a bed, just a plain twin mattress and box spring, and possibly a small computer desk and drawers. I'm moving into a house in September and I'm sadly lacking in furniture. I'm not terribly picky, I just need something to sleep on.

If anyone has any leads, t'would be great.

[ETA]: Found one. Thanks, all!

monorail shockingly broken again

Seems like it's been a while since the monorail was mentioned. To rectify that, I'm here to report that the blue train stalled this afternoon around 4:30, with folks having to be evacuated by the red train. Apparently the same thing happened six days ago. Two days after the line reopened following three million dollars' worth of repairs. Good times.
