Calvin and Hobbes Fight Club

A Legitimate and Honest Query

What's with all the eastside hatred?

While I find living on the eastside irritating for a few reasons (rich snobs, obnoxious white suburban kids trying to act tough a la Malibu's Most Wanted, all the general annoyances with suburbanites), I find most of it nice. The traffic is lighter, the crime is lower, the shopping is easier.

So what gives?

Hello seattle,

I just had to deal with some micromanaging bureaucrat named Brenda via phone at the Municipal Court of Seattle. Has anyone else had to deal with Brenda? How do I get around her? I want to set up a court date to contest a parking ticket. She kept on telling me to calm down and to change my attitude and wouldn't help me. There are no supervisors.

Please advise!

Kitty to a good home

He is 3 & 1/2 years old.  He is fixed and has had all his shots.  My daughter has some health problems, so we need to give him to a new home.  People requested pictures, so here they are. I'm in Olympia, but would deliver him if someone is interested. Edit: He's been adopted!

The Emerald City Comic Con (April 1st and Second) has updated their website with a list of events and panels! BE ADVISED! In a nutshell:
  • COSTUME CONTEST!!!
  • MAGIC: THE GATHERING TOURNAMENT!!!
  • MECHWARRIOR "KILL & KEEP" TOURNAMENT!!!
  • HEROCLIX TOURNAMENT with grand prize CONVENTION EXCLUSIVE GIANT "SPIRIT" HEROCLIX!!!
  • "VERSUS" TOURNAMENT!!!
I'm a little dissapointed that there's no Trivia Competition this year, but I think this listing of events makes up for it! Plenty of opportunities to win sweet swag! Also scheduled are a Farscape Panel DIscussion with a few actors from the show, stuff on publishing web comics, a professional Sketching competition and a rare Q&A session with Roman Dirge!

Cross-posting this in a few different communities, so forgive me if you see it a few times :)

Pioneer Square

I've always been reluctant to go down to Pioneer Square just because it didn't seem like my kind of scene, but tomorrow is a friend's birthday and that's where she wants to go. What can I say? She's the birthday girl!

Anyhow, I know most of the clubs down there have dress codes. Anyone know if they allow girls to wear nice/dress/designer type jeans? I always wear jeans when I go out but I don't want to be turned away from someplace everyone else is going. Anybody ever had issues with dress code?

Also, any places that are particularly good/bad in your opinion?

Thanks.
