Traffice Infraction!

So I received my first speeding ticket in Bellevue last week. I am new to Washington and was hoping you all could give me some advice. I was told I could possibly get a 12 month deferral if I go to the mitigation hearing and if I have a clean slate for that time period, it gets erased from my record. I can't really afford my insurance to go up.

Anyone have a similar experience? I would appreciate the help.

Wanted: Dental Assistants

The University of Washington Faculty Prosthodontics Practice and the Graduate Prosthodontics clinic are both looking for Dental Assistants.

There is one position available in each of these clinics.

If you are interested you need to apply through the UW's website.

http://www.washington.edu/admin/hr/ and click on the link to Staff jobs. Search under Dental. And its listed under Restorative Dentistry. There should be two positions listed, I don't know why there aren't but I'll let my boss know and see if we can fix that.

Good restaurants downtown?

4 of us are going out to dinner tomorrow night to celebrate both couples wedding anniversaries. My husband and I just moved here in April and live on Bainbridge so we don't eat at restaurants very often in the city. We want to eat in downtown and my friend who lives in Seattle and is one of the 4 people meeting up suggested Palomino, Cheesecake Factory or Gordon Biersch. We don't want to go anywhere with a dress code, but want decent food which isn't sushi or all just seafood. I guess I'm looking for someplace that we can make a reservation at and have a big menu to choose from. Any help is seriously appreciated! It doesn't have to be walking distance from the ferry as either we can cab it (husband can't walk too far as he just had major surgery 2 weeks ago) or our friends will get us when we arrive.

Happy Friday all!!!!

Belltown - drivers beware

As I write Belltown is crawling with motorcycle cops. They are pulling people over the smallest infraction such as:
- not using turn signal when changing lanes
- speeding
- using the crosswalk against the light
- expired tabs

... and who knows what else. In 30 minutes between 5th Ave and 1st Ave I saw about 15 pullovers.
