Gas Boycott

*EDIT*
Okay, never mind! I thought it sounded interesting, and could work, but the overwhelming majority says no! So disregard, you don't need to comment anymore :)*

I received this e-mail tonight, and thought I would share it with ya'll. I don't know about you, but I can barely pay for half a tank of gas anymore! I don't know if the numbers are indeed factual, but the writer of this e-mail makes an interesting case, and I have to wonder if something like this would actually help the astronomically rising prices of gas... (Oh, and I apologize for the all-caps: It's annoying to read, but I am too tired to change it. This is the way I got it)

IT HAS BEEN CALCULATED THAT IF EVERYONE IN THE UNITED STATES DID NOT
PURCHASE A DROP OF GASOLINE FOR ONE DAY AND ALL AT THE SAME TIME, THE
OIL COMPANIES WOULD CHOKE ON THEIR STOCKPILES. AT THE SAME TIME IT WOULD HIT THE ENTIRE INDUSTRY WITH A NET LOSS OF OVER 4.6 BILLION DOLLARS WHICH AFFECTS THE BOTTOM LINES OF THE OIL COMPANIES.

THEREFORE, MAY 19TH HAS BEEN FORMALLY DECLARED "STICK IT TO THEM" DAY AND THE PEOPLE OF THIS NATION SHOULD NOT BUY A SINGLE DROP OF GASOLINE THAT DAY.Collapse )

Apartment Appeal

Heyas, all. I'm looking for a living "situation"...apartment, roommates, what the heck ever. I'm back for round 2 try at Seattle after having worked as a PM in Iowa for 3 months.

Requirements? Cheapish of around 500-600 per month, an interesting building, some parking (yes I have a car). If anyone knows of anything let me know. I'm not tremendously particular, but am vastly allergic to kitties although they are really cute :)
