Daenerys

(no subject)

I'm looking for a copy of this year's Cheap Thrills list from The Conversation (on KUOW). If someone here has saved it, I'd really appreciate an email forward ( hulakitty @ yahoo.com) Thanks in advance!

Sublet?

Hi.
I'm a recently graduated UW student who is looking for a place to stay from mid June to mid August. My husband and I are looking for a 1-bedroom place that we could take over for you for these months, for less than $700/month. Greenlake/Greenwood would be ideal, but if you have a place in the U-District, Northgate or Capitol Hill, that's fine too.
We are responsible to a fault, non-smokers and have no pets (we don't mind having them around though!)
We have an excellent rental history, and both have full-time jobs.
Please email me at morgyne at u dot washington dot edu or leave a message in my LJ if you can help us out!

Thanks so much!

Anyone Going to Phoenix in the next couple weeks?

Care to split gas? I'm a licensed driver -- we could take turns driving...

The airlines want two arms and three legs for a ticket down there, and I'm on a super tight budget. It'd be me and two bags (motorcycle packs, actually, I'm going to be riding my bike back from Phx)

I looked on Craig's List, but no deals on the tickets and I don't even know where to LOOK for "shared rides."

If you have any suggestions on how to do this easier, I'm all ears. Right now, the cheapest route I can find is about 50 bucks using up a 200 dollar credit I have on Alaska Air...

Free Adoption Day, Seattle Animal shelter

For one day only – April 3, 2004 – the Seattle Animal Shelter will
waive adoption fees for small animals adopted from the shelter. The
shelter is looking for families interested in adopting 60 small animals
including dwarf hamsters, gerbils, rabbits, guinea pigs, rats and a
mouse.

For those people approved to adopt a small animal, the adoption fee will be waived if the adopter comes to the shelter with an appropriate cage set-up, which includes a wire-free bottom, paper bedding and a solid (not wire) exercise wheel. Additionally, adopters must be prepared to provide proper food, water, toys and other materials necessary for the good health of the animal.

This special offer is available during regular business hours, noon. to 6 p.m. on April 3. Volunteer small-animal specialists will be available to answer questions, inspect cages and assist with adoptions. The shelter reserves the right to approve or deny any animal adoptions and is limiting the number of small animal adoptions to no more than three per household.

If you would like more information or directions, please call (206) 386-PETS or visit the shelter’s website at Seattle Animal Shelter</b>

Beds?

My boyfriend is moving tomorrow and needs a new bed (or futon). Preferably a full or queen with a frame or box spring. He lives in the U-District and is sorta limited in transportation. He needs something free-cheap (maybe $50 at most). I've already looked at craigslist, but that place is kinda hectic. Tomorrow we're checking out some of those postings and also some garage sales. If anyojne has an extra one they are getting rid of, please let me know. Or if you know where I could find some good resources for stuff like this, that'd be greatly appreciated.
