Leary love

Tasty Middle Eastern Cuisine

My boyfriend and I just got back from trying out a new restaurant on East Broadway (Capitol Hill) and enjoyed it a lot, so we wanted to spread the word!

Ali Baba's on Broadway is its name. It's a low-key joint. You order your food at the counter and can get either for there or to-go. The bread was delicious and freshly made and the falafel sandwich and hummus were both really good. Also good -- the baklava!

The decor is not fantastic (they took over the spot previously occupied by Hollywood Burger and did not really change the color scheme at all), but they've put up some nice decorations that help a bit.

It seems like a lot of people have been slowing down to check the place out as they walk by, but not too many seem to go in. So if you've seen it and thought of trying it out, go! And if you haven't seen it yet, check it out.
