Valentines Day is coming up in a few weeks. Do you A) celebrate the day, and whether you do or not, 2) what do you plan to spend the day doing/special events/gifts/etc?

Driving in the rain.

Alright, what the hell is up with this? Seattle is, if not the rainiest, then certainly ONE of the rainiest cities in the continental U.S., and yet god forbid that water fall from the sky, or 20-50% of it's residents forget how to drive! Every time I have to get to work, I leave 5 or 10 minutes early to travel that 5 miles (and I give myself 20 minutes to begin with) and EVERY time I'm late because traffic is backed up 300 yards at every intersection, and no one moves faster than they can run. Now, by no means am I criticizing everyone on the road for this. I'm sure the majority of people feel the same way I do: frustrated, pissed off, stewing in their car while impatiently hoping that perhaps they'll make it to within 10 car-lengths of the light before it turns red so just POSSIBLY they might make it through the next time. And what do you find if you make it to the front of one of these crippled wolf-packs? One person in the left lane travelling 23 miles per hour below the speed limit, and another person on their right travelling a mere 20 miles per hour below the speed limit and trying to pass. And even if you DO somehow make it out of here, and into the calm waters beyond, you're only a tenth of a mile from the very back of the next group. Can't these people be given a special license with the notation: "GDI - Not Allowed To Drive In The Rain". Something along those lines? Anything?

On these bad-driver posts

Everyone agrees that nobody in Seattle knows how to drive. Yet, somehow, nobody ever admits to being a bad driver. It's always the other people out on the road who are in the wrong, not the person complaining and whining about how everyone else should be behaving. So where do all these bad drivers come from? Tacoma?
