I'm strongly considering a move to the Seattle area in late summer.
It seems the more affordable rents are in Tacoma and Lakewood. What are those areas like in comparison to Seattle? Are they tolerable to live and work in with frequent trips north for fun? Any major similarities/differences?
If you really would advise someone not to move there, do you know of any good resources for cheap studios in not-too-shitty areas in/around Seattle? Cheap for me is under $600, hopefully w/ util. included.
